EFO Financial Accountability Policy
At least 80 percent of our total operating expenses are used for direct services to fund educational initiatives that promote self-actualization of marginalized individuals in the global society. Educate for Opportunity is committed to carefully managing our administrative and fundraising costs. All contributions are made with the understanding that the Educate for Opportunity has complete control and administration over the use of the donated funds.
We commit to manage your gift with integrity and will use it to meet the represented needs in the most effective and impactful ways possible. Up to 20 percent of funds given can be used to support Educate for Opportunity infrastructure.
If excess contributions are received for any given item/project or the item/project becomes obsolete or unobtainable, those funds will be used at the discretion of Educate for Opportunity for projects that are most closely aligned with the original intent of the donation.
Educate for Opportunity is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt 501c3 organization. Gifts to Educate for Opportunity qualify as charitable contributions and are tax-deductible.
Whether or not a particular gift to Educate for Opportunity is fully tax-deductible may depend on your own financial situation. You should contact a tax advisor if you have any questions.
